Our team consisted of Merle Franks of Roxbury Church, Janesville, WI…Jay Weinstein and Chuck Abbot of Franklin Christian, Franklin, TN…Dr. Sid & Suzanne Verble, Dr. Jay & Kimbra Gabhart, Sandy Fulkerson, Roye Wilson, and Chris Kiger of First Christian, Elizabethtown, KY… and Ms. Joyce Nott of Salem Baptist, Brandenburg, KY.

    Earl said, `Of all the teams I’ve taken on the Amazon, this was the best and most humble`. Our team was a well-oiled machine!!! Everyone knew their role and did it tirelessly. Our first stop was the village of Santa Terezinha, CBMs first ever visit to this village!!! We visited 5 villages total and were able to see 618 medical patients, 95 dental patients performing 162 dental procedures, giving away 434 glasses, and making 1 house visit to an older man who had a handful of issues including having trouble swallowing. We also visited Sao Sebastio, where we observed a very robust greenhouse full of healthy produce.

    God is still working in the Amazon through CBM, Making Disciples…Making Better Disciples…Making More Disciples! The villagers were loved on in Jesus name and they encouraged us with their smiles, hugs, and thank yous. FCC Elizabethtown looks forward to returning with another team in June of 2025.
